Chapter 10 Overview
Unless your Web site uses an expensive content management system to dynamically build and serve up your Web pages, you'll probably work with Dreamweaver to add new pages and update existing ones. By using Dreamweaver's templates, you can significantly reduce the time it takes to make changes across a large number of similar pages, and you'll learn how to incorporate templates into your company's workflow so that non-technical staff (e.g., the folks in Marketing) can maintain and create Web pages. (Read: more time for you to develop and design; less time making text changes such as: "The best product on earth!" to "The best product in the universe!"). Below is a more detailed overview of what's covered in this chapter:
- Dreamweaver Templates
- Creating Templates
- Locked and Editable Regions
- Applying Templates
- Changing Templates
